“Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth. And his disciples asked Him; saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him” (John 9:1-3).
How many times have we asked the questions, “Why?” “Why did my life take an awful turn?” “Why do I deserve to be sick or lonely?” “Why do I feel like the weight of the world is on my shoulders?”
Sometimes we point the finger at someone else for causing discomfort in our lives and at other times we blame ourselves for the unwise choices we’ve made. But, according to God, not every hardship, loss, or painful moment is the direct result of our sins but an opportunity for God to draw us closer to Him. In (Roman 3:11), God explains that no one comes to him through their own volition.
Don’t be discouraged in the time of trouble. Trust that all things work together for good to those who love Him (Romans 8:28).
Recently, I came across this saying, “God provides the solution before the problem ever exists.” Whatever is troubling you, please don’t doubt God. He has already worked it out for you. Remain at peace, release anxiousness and anxiety, and listen for his prompting.
If you are struggling or hurting today because life has taken an unexpected turn, stop focusing on the problem and look to the One above who can change your situation in a minute.
Here are some questions to coach yourself into greatness!
- If you were to adopt the mindset that God has provided a solution before your problem existed, how would that change your outlook on your current situation?
- God has instructed us to be anxious for nothing. What steps can you take today to decrease anxiousness?
- What reminders can you put in place to stop the negative thoughts that breed anxiety and anxiousness?
