How do you leverage partnerships with others to increase the reach of your message?
In a world where being social is the norm, it would seem quite simple to leverage partnerships, right? Well, the answer is both yes and no.
Building partnerships in an effort to increase the reach of your message should not be your sole purpose or focus. If this is your sole purpose, your efforts will be futile because it will not produce much fruit. If this is your pathway to leveraging partnership, then the road will be tough and far from simple.
The sole purpose behind anyone looking to increase the reach of their message should be to share their unique message, ideas, and/or products with as many people as possible in order to make those people’s lives brighter, healthier, and happier.
The first thing one should do when looking to increase the reach of their message is to continue to do what they do best, which is to share their message, ideas, and/or products, because that’s what anyone paying attention will want them to do. Now that’s quite simple, right?
The second thing that one would work towards when wanting to increase the reach of their message is to pay attention to those who are paying attention to them. Questions you should ask yourself include: Who are the people following my blog? Do I respond to their comments? Do I actively engage with my audience? What about my other social media platforms? Who are my friends or followers? What are their interests, their dreams, and their business interests? How can I show interest in them?
Showing interest in others is the beginning of forming and building new relationships. You want to share and spread your message, well so do they. You have friends, family, and followers, well so do they. Relationship allows one to tap into the webs upon webs of networks that one could not touch by just wanting attention or interest and not reciprocating the same attention or interest. Those wanting to increase the reach of their message must increase their ability to form relationships of common interest.
We’re a world linked by common experiences, trials, tribulations, triumphs, and victories – commonality is what brings us all together. So continue doing what you’re doing, pay attention to those who pay attention to you, and tap into relationship to leverage your partnerships and increase the reach of your message.
