Read Proverbs 10:4
Today, I want us to think about what is holding us back from achieving what we desire in our hearts. Perhaps, there are many reasons or excuses, but how can we eradicate those excuses to grab hold of the life we envision. Mere thoughts and strong feelings towards a thing will not help us to obtain what we desire; it will only keep us in a state of dreaming and out of a state of reaping the rewards of the dream.
Sometimes we have such grand plans for our lives and we speak about these things, but we never write down the vision, nor do we create a blueprint for the vision, and even worse we continue to talk, but we don’t put the words into action. Our words come out of our mouths and it sounds sweet, seductive, and productive; it even gets the endorphins flowing! However, our words fall to the ground and are never planted to produce the harvest we desire.
Take that step today and put your words into writing and make a plan to begin achieving the desires of your heart. Start small and be diligent, thorough, and persistent in the work toward your goal.
Pinpoint the areas in your life that may be contributing to your slack hand. Eradicate those things from your life that lead to lethargy, weariness, anxiety, and depression; those ugly emotions that slow you down physically and make you a prisoner to your own circumstances. After all, God promised, “He who has a slack hand becomes poor, but the hand of the diligent makes rich” (Proverbs 10:4). Move forward in the plan God has for you!
Here are some questions that will allow you to coach yourself into greatness!
