“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want” (Psalm 23).
What a great opportunity! A day to share with family, friends and strangers, and eat and be merry! But let’s not forget to give thanks to God our Almighty Father that is our guardian and protector and provides for our every need. Let’s not forget that each breath we take is a gift from above. Let’s not just be thankful for the obvious, such as a home, car, job, and a healthy family, but also for those unseen dangers and circumstances that if not for the grace of God, we may have fallen victim.
Today, I am thankful for the strength of God upon me because without His strength I would be in a desolate place. He builds me up when I am too weak and sad to move on. He constantly reminds me of what He wants out of my life so that I do not fall astray or forget about His promises. I am so thankful that I am one of His chosen and that He corrects, punishes and reproves me for my sins. I am thankful that I do not have to beg for what I need, but all I have to do is wait upon Him and He will answer. Glory Hallelujah; let’s sing His praises today as we enjoy feasting with those we love.
